About us

The Wroxham School is a thriving one form entry school.  We are a ‘listening school’ and our ethos is built around the idea that everyone should be valued and should have a voice.

Our school had a successful inspection last October and we are going from strength to strength. Our SATs results (value added) were amongst the top 5% in the country last year and we aim to continue to raise standards still further.

Children at our school are given opportunities to develop as individuals.  As well as academic excellence we provide sport coaching, music lessons, French tuition and an art club.  Superb after school provision is available from our Kids’ Club and we aim to establish a Breakfast Club after Easter.

Most importantly we want everyone at Wroxham to develop a lifelong love of learning and to enjoy their time at our school. We hope you find our website interesting and look forward to your comments.

School organisation

There are seven classes plus a morning nursery.  Numbers in the nursery, reception and years 1 & 2 classes never go above thirty places.  Occasionally classes in KS2 may have a maximum of thirty two places. Each class is taught by a fully qualified teacher who will usually be assisted by a teaching assistant or nursery nurse. We encourage professional development and our staff are highly qualified. Currently four of our support staff are studying for a degree part time at university.  The Deputy Headteacher, Simon Putman has some non teaching time each week (usually half a day). The Headteacher does not have a teaching commitment.
